2014 Maserati Ghibli

Maserati is reviving its Ghibli after Ghibli II production stop on 1997. Positioning itself at the mid-size executive sedan, the 2014 Maserati Ghibli seems to be targeting at the Audi A6 and BMW 5 Series Market. 50,000 of this Ghibli is expected to be sold each year.



The new Maserati will be powered by a 3-iter turbodiesel V6 being the first diesel-powered car in Maserati’s history. The engine produce 330 HP at 5000rpm and a torque of 500 Nm at 4500 rpm. It will take 5.7 seconds to go from 0 km/h to 100km/h and a top speed of 263 km/h. While the Ghibli S will be powered by a 3-liter Twin Turbo V6 that generates 410 hp and 550 Nm at just 1750rpm which will go from 0 km/h to 100 km/h in 5 seconds and a top speed of 285km/h. The highest variant is the Ghibli S Q4 that uses th same engine as the S but cranking more power from its exhaust giving it a boost in 0 to 100 km/h to 4.8 seconds and but a drop on top speed to 284 km/h.

It is said that the Ghibli will be price at around $70,000 range, which seems to be much cheaper from its larger Maserati Quattroporte.
